Current walks programme (till July 31st) in its entirety.

Explanation: CP: Car park, All mileages are approximate. 9.30*am: (note the asterisk) means meet at Crescent Car Park, Taunton to car share.
Medium walks:
The letters (MED) denote walks of seven to nine miles in length led at a more relaxed pace. Rendezvous: The figure below the date/time of walks is the grid or map reference for the location of the walk’s starting point. To learn how to read a grid reference, please click here. Telephone numbers for walk leaders: unless otherwise indicated all numbers are preceded by 01823 when calling from outside the Taunton area.
Walks with the headline in green denote
linear walks (ie walk in one direction, transport to return or occasionally the reverse) and involve advance booking via the leader to book coach or train transport. Be warned that dogs (or even hounds, amazingly) may not be permitted on hired coaches.

Holidaymakers (RA members): please join us if you're in our area so we can show you a bit of beautiful Somerset (and Dorset and Devon).

Note the colour coded blocks to enable you to swiftly pick out your preferred days.

Colour code key Wednesday afternoon walks: a gentle 4 miles Friday evening walks: 4 - 5 miles, usually finish at a welcoming hostelry Sunday all day walks: 10 - 12 miles, occasionally more: expect hills. Sunday afternoon walks: 4 - 5 miles, gentle pace

Dog walkers please note: Taunton Deane is one of the few RA groups that even allow dogs to accompany their owners. If you do bring along Man's Best Friend (no, that's not The Wife) please act responsibly by keeping your dog under close control. The walk leader has the right to insist that any difficult dogs are kept on a lead. Thank you.
